Mae (our 9 year old daughter) and I were on a 3 hour car ride yesterday. We started out listening to a kids podcast on Injustice and Anger. We kept stopping it at points and had all sorts of really great conversations. We talked about how Travon Martin and Ahmaud Arbery were murdered. She thought about those deaths and asked, “how are they going to make it that no one else gets killed?” I thought that was such a good question. I feel that it’s now up to us to have changes made. We need to make government have the right policies in place, we need to push for accountability in the police force, and we need to keep protesting until change has been met.
